Spotlight Shotts is delighted to announce its brand new Summer Drama School, a fun-filled week of creative adventure for children aged 5 to 11.

Running from July 6 to 10 at the Henderson Theatre, Shotts Community Facility, the project offers young performers a chance to explore drama, build confidence, and take to the stage, all in one exciting week.

Led by experienced director Nikki Kalkman, the Summer Drama School runs daily from 10am to 2.30pm as a convenient drop-off class, making it the perfect way for families to prevent boredom over the summer holidays.

The week culminates in a short performance on Friday, July 10, giving children the chance to showcase what they’ve learned to family and friends.

“After a full school term, kids need a break from routine, but too much downtime can quickly turn into boredom,” said Mark Traynor, Spotlight Shotts Artistic Director.

“We wanted to give families an easy, affordable way to keep that spark of creativity alive over the holidays, without the cost getting in the way.”
