Liberia football legend, George Weah, has picked France’s Kylian Mbappe as the better player ahead of Spain’s Lamine Yamal amid the ongoing FIFA World Cup tournament.
Weah believes Mbappe is ahead of Yamal, adding that the Barcelona winger is still growing.
Speaking on El Chiringuito TV, the former Ballon d’Or winner said, “Lamine Yamal is a young player. You don’t want to compare him with Mbappe.
“Mbappe is a phenomenon. Yamal is just growing. I just hope that Yamal continues his career [in this fashion]. But you don’t compare [him] with Mbappe. Everybody knows that Mbappe is far away.”
Mbappe has been impressive for France at the World Cup and has scored six goals, while Yamal has scored one goal.
