The Midlands and North West anticipate highs of 28C, but temperatures will remain high in the south.
The Met Office forecasts that another “tropical night” with temperatures above 20C is unlikely, though the UK will remain warm, especially in the south, with some showers expected by the weekend.

The hot weather has led to multiple deaths across the UK due to difficulties encountered during open water swimming.
