A-level results day: What students need to know as grades are released
- Hundreds of thousands of students across England, Wales and Northern Ireland will receive their A-level, AS-level, VTQ and T-level results on Thursday.
- Last year saw 28.3 per cent of UK A-level entries awarded top A or A* grades, remaining higher than pre-pandemic levels.
- The head of Ucas expects a record number of 18-year-olds to successfully secure their first choice of university this year.
- Nearly 22,700 courses with vacancies are available via Ucas clearing, including over 3,400 at elite Russell Group universities.
- Students in England who wish to challenge their grades can request a review or lodge an appeal through their school or college.
