Wildfire tears through Cairngorms National Park as emergency teams battle to contain blaze
- A major wildfire has been raging in the Cairngorms National Park for a third day, having ignited in heathland near Ryvoan Bothy on Wednesday morning.
- The blaze has engulfed an area spanning approximately six kilometres, with the RSPB reporting that 741 acres of land have been burnt so far.
- Several homes, businesses, campsites, and ski resorts within Glenmore Forest Park have been closed and evacuated as a precautionary measure, though no casualties have been reported.
