Should England defeat DR Congo, they are projected to face co-hosts Mexico in the last-16, who impressed with a 2-0 win against Ecuador on Tuesday. The game would take place in Mexico City at 1am BST on Monday morning.
Further progression could see England meet Brazil in the quarter-finals and then Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the semi-finals, if all goes as predicted.
If England reach the final, they are expected to play against Spain or France, who may also need to overcome strong opponents like Portugal and the USA.
