Project Hail Mary proved both a critical and commercial triumph and it is available for streaming soon.
Project Hail Mary is the most talked-about sci-fi epic of the year, with the Ryan Gosling-led blockbuster following Ryland Grace, a middle school teacher who awakens aboard an interstellar spacecraft with absolutely no recollection of how he ended up there.
Based on Andy Weir’s 2021 novel, the film hit cinemas in March 2026 and proved both a critical and commercial triumph, raking in an impressive $681 million (£509 million) at the global box office.
Not only did it claim the title of third highest-grossing film of 2026, it has subsequently been hailed as one of the finest films of the 2020s.
Driven by powerful word-of-mouth buzz, the film continued drawing in crowds throughout its entire theatrical run, prompting Amazon MGM to extend its cinema window to beyond three months.
Now, the film finally has a streaming release date, and here’s everything you need to know about watching it from the comfort of your own home.

“Phenomenal, emotional, and wildly entertaining from start to finish. I honestly don’t remember the last time a movie made me feel this in love with cinema again. 10/10. Truly in a league of its own.”
