Sports betting company iLOTBET has fulfilled its promise to reward participants in its 2026 FIFA World Cup promotion by presenting a N150m house to businessman Samuel Nneke, while four other customers won iPhone 17 smartphones and dozens of guests carted away household appliances during the grand prize presentation ceremony.

The event, attended by representatives of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, media partners and other stakeholders, saw raffle winners taking home electronic gadgets and household appliances before the grand prize was presented.

Speaking at the ceremony, iLOTBET Managing Director, Uma Ntima, said the company was celebrating more than the conclusion of a successful World Cup campaign, describing the presentation as the fulfilment of a promise made to its customers.

“We gather today not only to celebrate an incredible World Cup journey but, more importantly, to honour a promise made to our customers,” Ntima said.

He recalled that iLOTBET rewarded customers with a brand-new car during the 2022 FIFA World Cup and another vehicle during the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, adding that the company decided to raise the stakes this year.

“As we approached the 2026 World Cup, we asked ourselves if we should give out another car. We decided it was only fair to give out a house to park the cars,” he said.

Ntima added that integrity, transparency and customer satisfaction remained the pillars of the company’s operations, assuring customers that even bigger promotions would follow in the future.

The biggest winner of the day, Samuel Nneke, said consistency and faith paid off after he emerged winner of the N150m house, admitting that he never imagined he would become a property owner in Lagos through the promotion.

“It is a feeling I cannot express. I never expected to own a property like this in Lagos, and iLOTBET has made it possible. I’m grateful,” Nneke said.

The businessman, who is based in Sokoto, described the property as a valuable investment and encouraged customers to believe in the platform, saying his victory showed that the promotion was genuine.

One of the four iPhone 17 winners, Okeneye Oyinkosola, also expressed delight after emerging from the raffle draw, urging other users not to doubt future promotions organised by the company.

Highlighting the company’s growth, iLOTBET representative Steven said the firm’s vision was to build the most trusted, secure and innovative sports betting ecosystem in Nigeria and across Africa through technology, regulatory compliance and responsible business practices. He added that the company had expanded significantly over the past five years, creating jobs while supporting grassroots sports and community development.

During a media briefing, Ntima said iLOTBET was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide an online gaming platform accessible from anywhere, adding that the company had continued to create economic opportunities through employment and customer reward initiatives.

He also reiterated the company’s commitment to responsible gaming, stressing that only persons aged 18 and above were allowed to use the platform while self-exclusion measures had been introduced to protect vulnerable users.

FCCPC Southwest Zonal Coordinator, Dr. Olubunmi Oti, said the commission monitored the promotion to ensure transparency and protect consumers’ interests.

“Our responsibility is to ensure that what they promise is what they deliver. We will also follow up to ensure every winner, including the recipient of the house, receives what has been promised,” she said.
