Two men have been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in a brutal broad daylight blade attack in Stirling. Police were scrambled to Burghmuir Retail Park, off Burghmuir Road, at around 7.15pm last night, Saturday, May 9.

The men, aged 38 and 46, were knifed outside a unit at the shopping centre. The pair were raced to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

They are currently being treated for stab wounds that are described as serious but not life threatening. Police Scotland have launched a probe into the violent assault, which the force is treating as attempted murder.

Their investigation is centred around the retail park and nearby Colquhoun Street. Detective Chief Inspector Scott Roxburgh has appealed to any witnesses to come forward.

DCI Roxburgh said: “Our enquiries to establish what happened are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have information which may help to get in touch.

“As well as the location at the retail park, we are also carrying out enquiries at nearby Colquhoun Street.

“I would ask anyone who has witnessed any disturbance in these areas on Saturday evening, or who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage, to get in touch.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2780 of May 9, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
