Brighton striker, Danny Welbeck, is set to undergo his medicals with Chelsea ahead of a summer move.
Welbeck has already agreed terms with the Blues over a two-year contract.
The former Manchester United and Arsenal striker will now finalize a move to Stamford Bridge in the coming days.
Chelsea manager, Xabi Alonso, has approved a move for Welbeck as he seeks to add a bit of experience to his squad.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Danny Welbeck to Chelsea, here we go! Deal in place with Brighton for the English striker.
“Welbeck agreed terms with Chelsea until 2028, medical next; Brighton approved decision to let him go after formal request from Danny.”
