Russia warns UK faces attacks over support for Ukraine

  • Former Russian deputy foreign minister Andrei Fedorov has warned that British drone factories could face attacks from unknown sources following increased UK military support for Ukraine.
  • The warning coincided with Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s first overseas visit to Kyiv, where he reaffirmed the UK’s unwavering commitment to Ukrainian defence.
  • The UK has agreed to declassify blueprints for British components used in the long-range Scalp missile to support Ukraine.
  • During bilateral talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mr Burnham urged Western allies to supply Kyiv with additional interceptor missiles.
  • A new agreement was signed granting the UK Ministry of Defence access to Ukraine’s Avengers AI database to learn from battlefield combat data.
