Reese Witherspoon reunited with her Legally Blonde co-stars over the weekend as the cast came together to celebrate the beloved film’s 25th anniversary and the upcoming Prime Video prequel, Elle.
The Oscar-winning actress was joined by familiar faces including Jennifer Coolidge, Selma Blair and Ali Larter at Hall des Lumières in New York for the streaming giant’s Elle World event, marking a quarter of a century since the hit comedy first introduced audiences to Elle Woods.
Reese, 50, looked every inch the Harvard-bound lawyer as she embraced the film’s signature pink in a satin Prada dress, teamed with Christian Louboutin heels.

Selma Blair, who starred as Elle’s rival-turned-friend Vivian Kensington, opted for a pink-and-black Tom Ford dress, while Jennifer Coolidge, who played fan-favourite beautician Paulette Bonafonté, arrived in an on-brand flowing leopard-print gown.
Also in attendance was Ali Larter, who portrayed fitness instructor Brooke Taylor-Windham who is accused of murdering her husband, wearing a black Carolina Herrera dress with floral detailing.
Singer, Hoku, whose hit Perfect Day famously featured in the 2001 film, completed the reunion in a colourful mini dress and bright pink platform heels.

The one-day event celebrated the enduring success of Legally Blonde, which became a cult classic after its release in 2001 and turned Elle Woods into one of cinema’s most iconic female characters.
The reunion also comes ahead of the launch of Prime Video’s upcoming prequel series Elle, which follows the future lawyer during her high school years. Rising actress Lexi Minetree takes on the lead role, while Reese serves as an executive producer on the project.
The new series is due to premiere on Prime Video on July 1, introducing a new generation of fans to the world of Elle Woods while celebrating the legacy of the original film.

Reese recently revealed on The Graham Norton Show that she had it written into her contract that she would get to keep all of her wardrobe.
As a result, she took home around 77 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes – and kept them untouched in storage until the film’s 15th anniversary, when she brought them out to try on.
She said: “Some of them fit, some of them didn’t. I showed them all to my daughter – it was really cool.”

Reese shares daughter Ava and her brother Deacon with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. The former couple met at her 21st birthday party in March of 1997, before going on to work together on Cruel Intentions.

They were married in June 1999 and welcomed Ava three months later. Son Deacon followed in 2003. The couple announced their separation in November 2006, going on to finalise their divorce in 2007 and 2008. She also has a third child – son Tennessee James – with talent agent Jim Toth, whom she divorced in 2023.
The Academy Award winning actor and producer is a beloved face in Hollywood, known for her talent in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes, where she champions female-led stories, often adapted from novels, via her company Hello Sunshine.
