Plane passenger treated for burns after laptop catches on fire during flight

  • Emergency medical crews met the plane upon landing, where one patient was treated for injuries and released.
  • The Federal Aviation Administration warned that lithium-ion batteries can undergo thermal runaway without warning, causing dozens of aircraft fires annually.
