Controversial social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, VDM, has cautioned Nigerians against taking sides in the ongoing feud involving music star Peter Okoye and his elder brother, Jude Okoye.
Speaking during a live session shared online, VDM said many Nigerians were allowing emotions to cloud their judgment by backing Peter without first hearing from other parties involved in the dispute.
According to him, the same emotional approach has contributed to the prolonged search for justice in the death of late singer Mohbad.
“Nigerians are so emotional. This is why Mohbad will never get justice. Everybody is supporting Peter, but they have yet to hear from Paul and Jude,” he said.
VDM argued that public opinion should not be formed based on one side of a story, urging Nigerians to wait until all those involved speak before reaching conclusions.
His comments have since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users agreeing that all parties deserve a fair hearing, while others insist that Peter’s claims should not be dismissed.
VDM’s remarks comes following renewed public interest in the long running rift within the Okoye family after the release of Mr P part 8 of his unveiling.
