  • Human remains, believed to be five climbers missing since an avalanche last November, have been located in Nepal’s Rolwaling Valley.
  • The bodies were exposed at Yalung Ri base camp this week as seasonal snow melted, nearly nine months after the disaster.
  • Local residents reported the discovery on Thursday, prompting a police team to attempt recovery on Friday.
  • Poor weather conditions prevented the immediate retrieval of the remains, which are yet to be formally identified.
  • The five are thought to be among seven climbers, including foreign nationals and Nepali guides, who were swept away in the 3 November avalanche, with two bodies recovered shortly after.
