Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George says he is optimistic the club will improve in the last season’s performance with an upgraded squad.
The Pride of Rivers finished as runners-up in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.
Rivers United have fortified their squad with new players for the upcoming campaign.
Finidi expressed confidence that the new arrivals will help the club next season.
“The players we have now are better than the ones we had last season, and I’m optimistic they will do better than they did last season, “Finidi was quoted by Sportslighthub.
Rivers United will participate in a pre-season tournament in Ikenne in readiness for the new season.
