Former presidential aide, Babafemi Ojudu, on Friday disclosed that Nigerians are worried about their future under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Ojudu said Nigerians are currently afraid and worried over their future because what is obtainable currently in the country is a far cry from what they fought for in the past.
The veteran journalist spoke while featuring on Channels Television’s Inside Sources.
Ojudu said: “Certainly not, this is not the country we fought for the 80s and 90s. We had military men who ruled over everyone and there was a lack of transparency and corruption, that was why we rose up and fought and to come to where we are as a democratic nation.
“Now, things are just going on as if nothing is working….Nobody is giving it a fight or a thought and as I said earlier, it’s very worrisome. When you look at the state of the judiciary today, it’s a far cry from what it was then.
“When you look at the legislature and compare it to what we had back then when Obasanjo was a military man, it’s a far cry. There was some independence then but now it’s not so.
“When you look at the manner in which public officials are carrying themselves as if they are lord of the manor, insecurity, economic situation, the immorality across board, the lack of hope that engulfs everywhere, all of us are worried and people are disturbed and afraid because they don’t know what tomorrow portends.”
