Morrisons has issued an urgent product recall for a popular snack and warned customers “do not eat”. The Food Standards Agency has shared a notice to customers issuing advice on what to do if they have bought the football-themed treat.
It said: ” Morrisons is recalling Morrisons Maple & Bacon Back of the Net because some packs contain milk which is not mentioned on the label. Some packs may have been packed with the wrong product which contains milk.”
It continued this made the savoury snack “a possible health risk” for anyone who has a milk allergy or who has intolerance to milk or milk constituents. It advised customers: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety. “

Those infected with Salmonella typically experience fever, diarrhoea and stomach cramps. Anyone displaying these symptoms should remain at home, away from work, school or nursery, until they have been symptom-free for a minimum of 48 hours to prevent spreading the illness to others.
