A massive blaze has tore through an abandoned building for the second time in less than six months. The blaze broke out at the disused Stoneywood Mill in Aberdeen after it erupted in flames overnight.
Emergency services, including Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, rushed to the scene on Stoneywood Terrace. The alarm was raised around 12.30am
Alarming photos and footage shows the once-operational paper mill being ravaged by the inferno. Bright, angry, orange flames rip through the structure as heavy, thick, black smoke billows into the night air.
Six appliances were sent in a desperate bid to fight the flames. It is unclear whether firefighters remain in attendance or whether the blaze has been extinguished.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. It is unclear whether anyone was hurt in the horror incident.
Nearby residents are being urged to keep all windows shut and to steer clear of the area. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Residents on and around Stoneywood Terrace in Aberdeen are being advised to keep windows and doors shut due to heavy smoke from a nearby fire at a derelict building.

“The incident is ongoing, and we currently have six fire appliances at the scene, including specialist resources.” The paper mill has been disused since it went into administration in September 2022.
In March, crews were sent to the scene to tackle another large blaze there. Three boys were later charged in connection with it.
The site was also the scene of a fire in August 2024. Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
