French coach Didier Six has named the four best teams in Africa at the moment, including the Super Eagles of Nigeria among the most impressive African teams.
Nigeria finished as runners-up at the last Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire before earning a bronze medal at the following edition held in Morocco.
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen was honoured as the African Footballer of the Year in 2023, while Atlético Madrid’s Ademola Lookman received the prestigious award the following year.
When asked which African teams currently impress him the most, Six listed Senegal, Morocco, Egypt and Nigeria.

“Senegal, Morocco, Egypt, and Nigeria. The level of these teams is improving, and African football is advancing overall,” Six stated in an interview with Foot Africa.
The latest FIFA rankings seem to corroborate Six’s viewpoint, as Morocco, Senegal, Egypt and Nigeria are presently ranked as the top four teams in Africa.
