Viewers of Coronation Street are concerned for teenager Brody Michaelis thanks to newcomer Idris Nazir.
The character debuted recently, and suggested he had a property business launching nearby. Brody kept trying to get a job with Idris, keen to impress him, with Idris considering putting some work Brody’s way after the drama at the restaurant.
With Idris asking Brody to help him out by clearing out a flat he had been renting out nearby, fans were worried if this would lead to something “dodgy”. Idris dropped hints he might be a baddie when he was seen threatening a character on the cobbles.
Whether it’s nothing to worry about or Idris is someone to keep an eye on remains to be seen. But fans are worried that he will lead Brody down a criminal path, and that Brody’s pals Betsy Swain and Dylan Wilson could end up being caught up in things too.

One fan posted online: “County lines grooming… Brody will become a drugs mule. Kit will get suspicious and try and save him. Idris will attack Kit.”
Another fan said: “I think it’s an exploitation storyline which drags Betsy and Dylan into it since they have a coming of age storyline.” A third fan added: “Idris will make Brody into a thug and be his drug mule but I think Kit will take Idris down.”
A fourth viewer commented: “Idris is as dodgy as they come. He’ll drag Brody in to trouble, Brady will see through him and no one will believe him and he’ll be targeted and harassed by Idris and made to look a bad guy until it eventually comes out next year.”

Another fan then said: “I think there’s a possibility that Idris might actually bring Brody into a violent situation. I think Maggie might end up getting involved with Idris’ scheme and somehow she might end up getting scammed and being taken advantage by Idris.
“But somehow Betsy and Dylan may soon find out everything from Brody as he tells the two of them what Idris is doing to him and Maggie and also Lauren might soon find out everything from Betsy, Dylan and Brody what Idris is trying to do to Maggie, and the three of them may tell Ben and Eva to take Idris down.”
