Chaos at Arsenal parade as fans are rescued and arrested
Thousands of Arsenal fans line London streets for trophy parade
Emergency services rescued approximately 75 people from precarious heights during Arsenal‘s Premier League trophy parade in London on Sunday.
The London Fire Brigade confirmed they attended a hotel fire, believed to be caused by a stray flare, and urged fans to avoid climbing onto rooftops or using pyrotechnics.
The Metropolitan Police made 16 arrests in the area around the parade for offences including drunk and disorderly behaviour, drug offences, sexual assault, and assaulting emergency workers.
Officers responded to a stabbing on Hornsey Road, where a man was taken to hospital; his condition is currently being assessed.
Thousands of jubilant fans lined the streets, with many scaling trees, rooftops, and traffic lights for a better view, leaving roads littered with debris as celebrations continued into the evening.
