Police have launched a probe after a car was firebombed on a residential street in Fife.
Emergency crews scrambled to Kirkland Gardens in the Methil area at around 5am on Tuesday, June 30.
The blaze was extinguished by firefighters and no injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.
An image from the scene shows the car engulfed in flames as a man reaches inside the vehicle.
Police Scotland have confirmed that the white Audi A3 was deliberately torched.
Officers are reviewing CCTV footage in and around the area and have appealed to the public for any additional information.
Detective Constable Matthew Wilson said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have information regarding this incident to contact us. Any small piece of information could be significant in our enquiries.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0520 of Tuesday, 30 June, 2026. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.”
