Bailey’s representative confirmed he was approached by Studio Lambert in 2022 but was unavailable due to his nationwide tour, En Route to Normal.
Claudia Winkleman has hosted the BBC One series since its inception in 2022, becoming synonymous with the show’s distinctive style.
Winkleman herself initially turned down the presenting role, only accepting after watching the original Dutch version, De Verraders.
The Traitors franchise, under Winkleman’s hosting, has achieved significant success, with the Celebrity Traitors finale breaking ratings records with 15.2 million viewers.
