Big Brother Naija Season 11 has sparked mixed reactions online, with many viewers describing the first week of the reality show as underwhelming and calling on organisers to introduce new housemates to revive the competition.
Since the season premiered on Sunday with 24 contestants competing for the record ₦160m grand prize, social media has been flooded with contrasting opinions over the entertainment value of the housemates.
While some fans argued that the contestants have failed to create enough drama or memorable moments, others insisted the criticism was premature, saying the season was only a few days old.
X user #heretodis lamented the pace of the show, writing, “It’s boring this year. Mediocre entertainment. It’s exhausting and underwhelming production. We want to see interesting personalities. It’s not Perfect Match or Love Island.”
Echoing the sentiment, #Ugo_only urged Big Brother to shake things up.
“Biggie remove these housemates, they are all boring. Spice things up or bring new housemates,” the user posted.
Another viewer, #Nonye7463, wrote, “Please new housemates to shake things up, even if they’re fake.”
Similarly, #akosus1252 posted, “The show is boring. Do something Biggie, bring in hot people.”
Some viewers blamed the contestants for failing to create compelling content.
“Every day that passes reinforces that this season is terribly agonising to watch. Boring is an understatement. The housemates lack character and entertainment standards,” #TWEETORACLE wrote.
Another fan, #barbara44899002, appealed to the show’s organisers.
“The show is very boring. Bring in new housemates. These ones are not giving. Ebuka please drag them very well on Sunday,” the user said.
Others suggested changes to the format rather than replacing contestants.

Another fan, #gift9632996, simply stated, “I like this season. Omo na better fun dem dey have.”
Some viewers opposed the idea of introducing fresh contestants, arguing that new housemates might not solve the problem.
