  • A suspect in the shooting at the Bite of Seattle food festival near the Space Needle on Sunday evening is a 15-year-old boy, according to the mayor.
  • An urgent hunt is underway for a second suspect after the shooting left three people dead and four others, including a toddler, injured.
  • The deceased victims were identified as two men, aged 19 and 44, and a 56-year-old woman. The injured include a 2-year-old boy, who remains hospitalized, and three adults who have since been discharged from the hospital.
  • The gunfire erupted around 6 p.m. during the annual three-day festival, which draws hundreds of thousands of attendees, leading to widespread panic, evacuations, and vendors abandoning their booths.
  • The teen who was arrested is being held in juvenile detention for investigation of firearms violations and first-degree assault, with a court appearance scheduled for Monday afternoon. Authorities believe the two suspects were firing at each other and police have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
