Zelensky orders new offensive to force Putin to end war
Putin says Russia is ready for peace talks with Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has approved a 40-day campaign by the country’s security service to ‘influence’ Russia into ending the war.
The operation aims to pressure the aggressor state to cease hostilities against Kyiv.
Ukraine has consistently launched medium and long-range strikes against targets in Russia and Russian-held territories, primarily focusing on the oil industry.
Zelensky confirmed recent attacks on two Russian oil refineries in Ufa, located 1,500km from the frontline.
An oil depot in the Krasnodar region, 300km from Ukraine, was also targeted as part of the ongoing strikes against Russian infrastructure.
