“It was our Boyan, he has been put in an induced coma since Tuesday night and he’s in critical care. He has broken bones and other serious injuries.

“I know he is very popular in the bike community. I thought it would be the right thing for other people to know what has happened and to show support to his mum and dad and how much of great young man he is and how he has touched so many hearts.”

Riders from across Scotland lined up to wish Boyan well in his recovery.

Oliver Trataris said: “Get well soon brother. You got this, we all are here for you and your family. You are such an amazing young man, love you.”

Tracey Fotheringham commented: “Oh no. Wishing you speedy recovery. Thoughts are with the family and biker family. Sending love from Mutineers motorcycle club.”

Gayle Pinky Mowat added: “Sorry to hear this, thoughts are with all his family and friends. Boyan, fight hard and speedy recovery.”

His aunt, Lynn Wilson, created a fundraising page to riase cash and ease the burden on Boyan’s parents, who are going to have to take time off work to care for their son. .

Since it was created three days ago the page has raised £1200 in donations.

It reads: “He is in a coma with multiple serious injuries. It’s been very hard on both his parents, who have had to take so much time off their work.

“At this time, I don’t want them to worry about bills so I am looking to see if we can get them some help as their son is going to need a lot of care for a long time and I don’t want them to worry over any financial things.

“This way, they can concentrate on Boyan at this time.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8pm on Tuesday, 2 June, 2026, we received a report of a crash involving a Suzuki motorcycle on the A814 near the Clyde Tunnel, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and the male rider was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to what were described as serious injuries.”
