The lead pastor of Masterplace International Church, Korede Komaiya during a Sunday Service, has claimed that followers who practise what he teaches could become millionaires within 90 days and cross into billions within six months.
In a resurfaced video on Friday which was recorded during the Masterplace Sunday Service on March 15, 2026, showed Komaiya speaking about financial success and the importance of speed in achieving one’s goals.
Komaiya said, “If you do what I teach, you will be a millionaire in 90 days, if not shorter. If you do what I teach, you will cross billions in six months.”
He then pointed to what he described as positive testimonies from members of the church.
“Look at all the good reports, look at all the good reports, look at all the good reports,” he said.
The pastor went on to use the analogy of a race to emphasise the importance of speed in life, repeatedly telling the congregation that speed was critical to success.
He said, “Life is a race and in every race, speed is a determinant. Life is a race and because life is a race, speed becomes important.”
Komaiya further described speed as essential, saying, “Speed is critical because life is a race. Speed is cardinal because this is a race.”
He then asked members of the congregation to tell their neighbours that they were in a race.
“Can you help me tell your neighbour quickly, we are in a race,” he said.
The pastor subsequently referenced the biblical account of Prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 18:46, which describes the hand of the Lord coming upon Elijah and giving him supernatural strength to outrun Ahab’s chariot.
He said, “And when supernatural speed answers, 1 Kings 18:46, in the Amplified Classic, 1 Kings 18:46, the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah, giving him supernatural strength. He gathered up his loins, outran.”
Komaiya concluded the point by linking the biblical passage to divine intervention in achieving success.
“When the hand of God is upon you, you will always overtake,” he said.
The resurfaced video has generated reactions online, with social media users discussing the pastor’s claims about attaining millionaire and billionaire status through his teachings.
