National coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko, has tackled First Lady, Remi Tinubu, over her ‘akara and corn roasting’ comment.
Featuring in an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ on Wednesday, Tanko said someone who has gone to the university cannot be reduced to akara and corn seller.
He said it was that narrative that the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, was coming to change.
“You cannot reduce people who have studied at the university to Akara and corn sellers.
“Peter Obi plans to turn the fortunes of Nigerians such that when you go to school, you deserve to earn according to what you have learned.
“This man has been able to talk about the educational system in his state, transforming the children of that particular state from to the sixth position to number one.
“This same person has been able to secure the life and properties of his people. Who wouldn’t want that person as a president?” He asked.
