Spain winger, Lamine Yamal, has made a confident claim about facing Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal at the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 stage.
Yamal, who helped Spain to beat Austria in the World Cup Round of 32 encounter on Thursday, said it would be an honour to play against Ronaldo.
The 18-year-old, however, noted that he was not thinking about who Spain’s opponent in the Round of 16 would be, as he is focused on winning the game.
“Well, I don’t really care – Croatia or Portugal,” Yamal said (via DAZN).
“It would be an honour, obviously, to play against Cristiano, but I am focused on winning the game, and I don’t really care who advances between the two of them.”
Spain will face Portugal in the Round of 16 fixture on Monday. Portugal had defeated Croatia 2-1 in the Round of 32.
