Argentina forward, Giuliano Simeone, has named teammate Lionel Messi as the best footballer of all-time.
Simeone made the assertion in his post-match interview after Messi came off the bench to score a free-kick in Argentina’s 3-1 win against Jordan in the ongoing World Cup on Saturday.
According to the Atletico Madrid star, the 39-year-old Inter Miami forward keeps proving why he is the best player of all-time, adding that he has a special kind of magic.
“There’s not much left to say about him; he really is the best in the world, the best of all time, and he keeps proving it,” Simeone said of Messi as quoted by FIFA’s website.
“It’s incredible. I see it day to day: how he trains, how he takes care of himself. Everything he does is impressive, and he has a special kind of magic.”
Messi and Argentina will now face Cape Verde in the World Cup Round of 32 on Friday.
