Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, has explained why his team lost against Birmingham in Friday’s pre-season friendly.
Flick watched as Birmingham defeated Barcelona 3-2 on penalty shoot-out following a 2-2 draw.
Hamza Abdelkarim scored the two goals for Barcelona during normal time at St. Andrew’s Stadium in Birmingham.
Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Flick said Barcelona made a few mistakes against the Championship side and also failed to have more possession of the ball during the encounter.
“We missed having more possession and made a few mistakes, but I’m happy,” Flick said.
“The feeling is good, and the entire coaching staff is satisfied with the young players’ performance,” he said.
