Flip flops might be having their moment this summer, but if you prefer something a little more sturdy (and supportive) to finish off your summer outfits, a good pair of sandals is the way to go. We’ve recently spotted these Bailey Buckle Sandals at White Stuff which are the perfect versatile pick for all of your sunny weather plans, whether it’s an afternoon at the pub or heading off on holiday.
The sandals are made from real suede, and feature a real leather sole for added durability and comfort. The lightweight EVA sole also keeps them comfortable and light to wear on your feet, so you won’t end up with sore, achy feet after wearing them for a couple of hours.

They’re reasonably priced at £79, with the real suede and leather meaning they should be long-lasting and hard-wearing, so you can keep reaching for them year after year. The sandals have a classic “dad sandal” design, with two straps over the toes and arch, and one around your heel. The EVA sole is slightly chunky, which gives you some added comfort and stability when you’re walking.
Rather than looking too trend-led though, the Bailey Buckle Sandals have a classic, timeless design thanks to the whipstritch trim around the soles, and the luxe-looking suede straps that fasten with oversized buckles. You can pick from either chocolate brown or a light khaki green, with both colourways perfect for pairing with plenty of colour combinations.

You can easily wear them with anything from flowy midi dresses to linen trousers and shorts whilst on holiday, or with a pair of jeans or trousers for day-to-day. You can pick up the Bailey Buckle Sandal in sizes three to eight, with White Stuff recommending sizing down as they run a little large.
If you want to save a little more money, the Sorella Strap Sandals from Clarks have a similar style but are currently on sale for just £50, down from £70. They fasten with velcro straps, rather than buckles which makes them easier to adjust for a comfortable fit, and come in both beige and olive green suede.
Alternatively, the Tennessee Suede Sandals in Brown are now just £35.99 down from £45 at Schuh. They also come in chocolate brown suede, and have a cross over-style strap which gives them an elegant look.

However White Stuff’s Bailey Buckle Sandal have become a big hit with shoppers for the summer. One reviewer wrote: “Stylish yet very comfortable works with any item in the wardrobe.”
Another said: “Love the colour and adjustable back strap. Wasn’t sure about the black sloes but the stitching at the edge lifts the look. Very comfortable and will be a summer staple.”
