- The 2026 World Cup will see three separate opening ceremonies from host nations Mexico, the USA and Canada.
- Mexico’s opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday 11 June at 6.30pm BST (1:30pm EDT) in Mexico City.
- The event will be held at the Estadio Azteca, preceding the Group A match between Mexico and South Africa.
- Shakira and Burna Boy are set to headline the spectacle, performing the official tournament song, “Dai Dai”.
- Additional performers include Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Maná, and Tyla.
