United States President Donald Trump has issued a warning to Iran, stating that he will respond with significantly greater force if a deal is not reached promptly.

This was after the US military clashed with their Iranian counterparts at the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday.

Trump said that substantial damage was inflicted on the Iranian forces responsible for the attacks on US destroyers in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a message posted on his Truth Social platform, he asserted that the US would retaliate against Iran “a lot harder and a lot more violently” if they do not agree to a peace agreement “FAST”.

The US president noted that the three US destroyers successfully navigated through the Hormuz Strait while under fire and without sustaining any damage, but emphasized that the Iranian attackers suffered “great damage”.

“The attackers were entirely obliterated, along with many small boats that were being utilized to compensate for their severely diminished Navy. These boats sank swiftly and efficiently to the depths of the sea.

“Missiles were launched at our destroyers but were easily intercepted. Similarly, drones were deployed and were incinerated mid-air, falling gracefully into the ocean, reminiscent of a butterfly descending to its demise!”

Trump further characterized Iran as being governed by “Lunatics” and reiterated his usual assertion that Tehran would resort to using a nuclear weapon if given the chance, but he confidently stated that “they’ll never have that opportunity”.
