At least five countries have qualified for the quarter-final stage at the ongoing 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, competition.
South Africa and the Ivory Coast are the two latest countries to book their places in the quarter-final stage.
This follows the conclusion of the Group B final fixtures played on Tuesday night.
South Africa defeated Burkina Faso 1-0, while the Ivory Coast won 2-1 against Tanzania.
Ivory Coast tops the group with seven points, and South Africa finished in second position with four points.
The two teams now joined Cameroon, Morocco and Algeria, who have already booked their place in the quarter-final.
