Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland face a Monday play-off after finishing level in the rain-delayed final round of the Travelers Championship in Connecticut.
Hovland, who birdied the first two holes after a weather delay to draw level, narrowly missed a birdie putt on the last to clinch victory.
World No 1 Scheffler, chasing his first PGA Tour win since The American Express in Southern California in January, rolled in an eight-and-a-half foot putt for par to ensure they remained level at 21-under-par. The pair will be back for the playoff from 9am local time (2pm BST) on Monday.
Scheffler had shot a 10-under-par 60 to lead after the second round and sat one stroke behind overnight leader Hovland on the final day.
open image in galleryThe Norwegian lost his advantage with a bogey at the first and was two shots adrift of the American after a birdie at the 13th when play was suspended at 5.57pm local time after heavy rain and lightning.
But after an 83-minute delay, Hovland opened up with a pair of birdies and the pair matched each other with pars over the closing holes.
Two-time major winner Collin Morikawa posted a bogey-free nine-under 61 in the final round to finish one stroke back.
Matt Fitzpatrick began the day tied for fifth and included eight birdies in his 64 to finish two strokes off the pace in fourth, two shots ahead of younger brother Alex Fitzpatrick, who hit successive 64s in his final two rounds.
Last week’s US Open winner Wyndham Clark and fellow American Akshay Bhatia were in between them in a tie for fifth after final rounds of 68 and 66 respectively.
Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre finished tied for 10th, a shot further back after a final-round 65, while the same score from Tommy Fleetwood lifted him 12 places to finish tied for 14th on 14 under.
Justin Rose, who began the day tied for 10th, closed in a tie for 25th place after three birdies and as many bogeys for a disappointing level-par 70.
