Kirk Franklin surprises fans with Mercy Chinwo on stage
American gospel music star, Kirk Franklin, surprised worshippers after inviting Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo on stage during the International Gospel Music Festival, where the duo delivered a powerful performance.
Videos from the event, which have since gone viral on social media, captured the pair leading the audience in worship, drawing loud cheers from attendees.
Sharing clips from the performance on her Facebook page on Sunday, Mercy Chinwo described the experience as a privilege and thanked God for the impact of the event.
“What a glorious time we had today at the International Gospel Music Festival,” she wrote.
