Tess Daly and Vernon Kay were all smiles in their last public picture together, months before announcing their divorce. The former Strictly Come Dancing host, 57, and her TV presenter husband, 52, confirmed their split in a joint statement on Instagram, after 22 years of marriage.
The news may come as a shock to many as they worked together on a TV project in February, co-hosting the One Show on BBC One. In one picture from the day, they could be seen looking cosy on the set, with Vernon putting his arm around his wife of 22 years. They also took the opportunity to pose with guests including Jessie Buckley and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Taking to social media at the time, Tess gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes of filming, which marked the last time they were photographed together in public. She captioned the upload: “An evening at @bbconeshow with some incredible guests.”
Viewers were clearly thrilled with their efforts and took to the comments section of her post, begging them to work together more. One wrote: “You and Vern presenting together is everything. Loved it xx.”
“It was so lovely to see you on the TV Tess. I let out an ‘ahhhh’ when I saw you with your lovely hubby,” a follower penned, as another added: “You both should do @thismorning, you would be the dream team.”
The former couple, who share Phoebe and Amber together, started dating after meeting at a Christmas party in 2001. They got engaged the following year, and tied the knot in September 2003.

In 2013, they renewed their vows in a private ceremony in the South of France, to celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary.
After more than two decades together, they confirmed their separation in a statement earlier today, which read: “After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably.
“This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us. We remain great friends and most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority.
“There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this transition together. We will not be making any further public comments. Tess and Vernon.”
