US target multiple Iranian oil tankers in latest retaliatory strike

- This represents the latest in a series of retaliatory strikes as Washington and Tehran drift back into direct conflict after more than six months of warfare.
- Meanwhile, the naval arm of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard advised tanker crews near ports in Kuwait and Bahrain to evacuate immediately, warning that these vessels could face retaliatory action following the US strikes.
- The message, broadcast via Iranian state television, stated American forces had hit multiple Iranian tankers, whilst accusing Kuwait and Bahrain of assisting in the raids by harbouring US troops.
