Two people were killed and three others injured after suspected bandits loyal to notorious bandit leader Bello Turji attacked Kwaren Gamba community in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The incident was disclosed in a post shared on X on Sunday by security analyst, Bakatsine.
According to the post, the attackers stormed the community on Saturday night, killing two residents, injuring three others and abducting several people.
Bakatsine said the latest attack highlights the worsening insecurity affecting communities in Sokoto East, particularly Sabon Birni and Isa Local Government Areas, where residents have continued to face repeated attacks by armed groups.
“Last night, bandits loyal to the notorious bandit leader Bello Turji attacked Kwaren Gamba community in Sabon Birni LGA of Sokoto State, killing two people, injuring three others and abducting several residents.
