A TV drama is so good that viewers simply cannot stop watching it over and over again. It’s not easy tracking down something fresh to watch, which is why TV recommendations are so popular at the moment.
Currently, there’s plenty of decent TV, whether it’s the Untold UK series on Netflix or the highly anticipated new series of Off Campus on Amazon Prime. Now people are turning their attention to Apple TV as this three-season series is getting loads of praise at the minute. Having first aired in 2023, viewers said it’s simply so good that they keep rewatching it again and again.
The Apple TV series we’re talking about is Shrinking, which stars Jason Segel, Brett Goldstein, Harrison Ford and a host of other well-known faces.
A Reddit discussion kicked off when someone asked: “What’s the best show you’ve ever watched?” They were specifically seeking something you can “recommend to everyone you know”.
In the comments, one user simply replied: “Shrinking,” to which another responded: “Over and over again.”
A third then confessed: “We watched it, decided to watch it all over again. Then we went to spend/stay the holidays at a friend’s house, told them about it, watched the whole series in its entirety.
“And then started over again and watched it all with them a second time (the wife missed some parts the first time around).”
Without revealing too much of its plot, the hit comedy-drama follows Jimmy (played by Jason Segel), a grieving therapist who abandons his ethical boundaries and begins telling his patients exactly what he thinks.
Not only does it unleash chaos, but massive changes in their lives as well as his own. The series was co-created by Ted Lasso stars Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, as well as Jason Segel himself.
The three-series show blends raw grief with heart and humour. Alongside Segel, it stars a renowned ensemble cast including Harrison Ford as his wise, caustic mentor Paul and Jessica Williams as his colleague Gaby.
Viewers love Shrinking for the way it tackles heavy topics, like loss and trauma. There’s also a surprising amount of heart and humour, providing laugh-out-loud moments between its cast of characters.

After season three premiered in January 2026, fans are in for a treat as Shrinking was renewed for a fourth season. While the release date has not been announced, it’s believed the series will show a completely new story with the same cast.
