Trump tells Michael Cohen he would win ‘by a lot’ if he ran for president today

Trump says Strait of Hormuz remains open despite ‘effective’ naval blockade
  • Michael Cohen conducted his first public interview with President Donald Trump in eight years following the reconciliation of their long-standing feud.
  • During the WABC interview, Trump commended Cohen for recanting his previous testimony and claimed officials weaponized Cohen against him.
  • Cohen stated his relationship with Trump was rekindled due to a shared sense of betrayal after facing intense backlash from Democrats. “The ice between us, it didn’t just melt, it broke,” Cohen said.
  • When asked about his approval rating in the polls, Trump said, “If I were running today, I think I’d win by 25 points,” he continued. “I think we’d win by a lot. The economy has never been stronger. We’re doing numbers that nobody’s ever seen before.”
  • Cohen, who previously served time in prison for tax violations and lying to Congress, confirmed to CNN on Thursday that he has submitted a pardon application to the White House.
