Trump claims high approval rating despite polls showing otherwise
Trump’s Approval Rating Falls To Record Low Ahead Of Midterms
President Donald Trump claimed on Truth Social that his approval rating is as high as 65 percent, stating that “Honest Pollsters are very rare and hard to find.”
He shared a Newsmax article highlighting a McLaughlin & Associates survey that placed his approval at 50 percent among likely midterm voters.
In contrast, recent credible polls from YouGov and Quinnipiac show Trump’s approval rating significantly lower, hovering around 38-39 percent.
These surveys also indicate high disapproval rates for Trump’s overall job performance and his handling of key issues such as immigration, the economy, and the Iran war.
Trump has a history of dismissing polls he deems unfavorable, previously labeling them “fake” and even filing a lawsuit against a pollster in 2024, which was later dropped.
