Brighton striker, Danny Welbeck, could be set for a shock move to Chelsea this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are keen on bringing in Welbeck in the coming days.
Chelsea manager, Xabi Alonso, is appealed by the 35-year-old’s leadership qualities.
Welbeck has less than one year left on his current contract with Brighton, which would mean the transfer involved is minimal.
Last season, Welbeck scored 13 times in the Premier League, his best ever tally in the topflight.
The England striker has previously played for Arsenal and Manchester United.
