Super Eagles striker, Tolu Arokodare, has become the 8th Nigerian player to sign for Ajax.

The 25-year-old officially joined the Dutch giants on loan from Premier League side Wolves on Wednesday.

Before joining Ajax, Arokodare was linked to Trabzonspor and Fiorentina.

However, he has now followed in the footsteps of Nigerian football icons Finidi George, Nwankwo Kanu, Sunday Oliseh, Tijani Babangida, Christopher Kanu, Pius Ikedia and Calvin Bassey all of whom represented Ajax in the past.

Speaking after joining Ajax, Arokodare said, “I am currently a player of Ajax. It’s just an amazing feeling, like I said. I never imagined.”
