Transfer: Carragher changes EPL title prediction after Man City sign Enzo Fernandez

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has claimed Manchester City are now Arsenal’s biggest challengers in the Premier League title race.

Carragher was reacting to City’s deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Manchester City on transfer deadline.

City have agreed a £125m fee to sign Fernandez from Chelsea.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher analyzed how the transfer will change the title race.

“He certainly pushes Man City above Chelsea,” Carragher said.

“Myself and plenty of others have felt Chelsea will have a really good season. And I still believe that a lot of that is on the back of not having European football, having a new manager, the front three that they’ve got.

“But they’re losing Enzo Fernandez, who, for me has been one of the big players for Chelsea.

“Man City look a lot stronger now.

“I would say they’re going to be the biggest challengers to Arsenal right now.”
