Al Hilal has confirmed that Karim Benzema’s contract has been terminated by mutual agreement.
The 38-year-old leaves the Saudi Pro League club after only six months.
“Al Hilal Club Company and French player, Karim Benzema have mutually agreed to terminate their contractual relationship, bringing his time with Al Hilal’s first team to an end,” a club statement read.
The deal Benzema signed had a year left to run.

This comes 24 hours after Al Hilal completed the £51 million signing of Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa.
Al Hilal also expressed its “appreciation for Benzema’s contributions during his time with the team, as well as his professionalism, commitment and leadership” on and off the pitch.
