Arsenal are interested in signing Cristian Romero from their North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners have already spoken with Romero’s agents about the possibility of a move.
Spurs are aware of the Premier League champions’ interest, but are unwilling to sell the Argentina international to their rivals.
They would prefer to sell the 28-year-old to a club outside England.
As it stands, Atletico Madrid are favourites to sign Romero.
However, Inter Milan reportedly reached an agreement over a £34m fee with Spurs, but have not agreed on personal terms with Romero.
